Physical Education

 

 

Physical Education (PE) is part of each student’s complete education at St. Bonaventure Catholic School. The goal of the PE Program is the teaching of Christian competitiveness and sportsmanship. Students learn a positive way to win and lose while building skills and a desire to remain physically fit for life. Students may additionally choose to tryout for one of our co-curricular, competitive Athletics teams.

Curriculum

 

TK - 2nd Grade Curriculum

  • Age-appropriate cooperative games

  • Catching, throwing, running, and jumping basic skill development

  • Building self-control, listening skills, and good sportsmanship


3rd - 8th Grade Curriculum

  • Basic volleyball (girls), flag football (boys, basketball, and round robin play)

  • Running Pacer Program - 1 mile timed run

  • Fitness Gram

  • Spring “Coed Color Teams,” featuring a myriad of competitive games

  • Continued development of self-control, listening skills, and good sportsmanship
