About the PFA
The Parent Faculty Association assists in the school's day-to-day operations by overseeing most service positions. The PFA also supports various academic programs, provides funds for teacher appreciation, and organizes community events such as Grandparents Day, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Event, Trunk or Treat, and more. Fundraising events are held throughout the year to support the SBS operating budget. These include the Annual Gala, and the St. Bonaventure Golf Classic. PFA meetings are held once a month and are open to all parents.
The Board Members are selected by a parent-led nominating committee, approved by the Principal and Pastor, and voted on by the PFA Executive Board before the end of each school year. Our Consultative School Board
The School Board plays a crucial role in assisting our senior leadership team in implementing the philosophy and mission of our school. Advisory and consultative in nature, the Board and its subcommittees review, make recommendations, offer feedback, and support the senior leadership team in whatever way is deemed necessary and appropriate by the Administration. School Board members are volunteers appointed by the Principal and Pastor. Subcommittees are made up of parents, faculty, and staff who work together to fully realize the School’s mission.
Please see the dates below for School Board meetings (6:00 pm in Duffy West). Parents, faculty, and staff are welcome to submit comments and concerns to the Board for discussion. All SBS community members are welcome to attend open sessions of School Board meetings, or contact office@stbonaventureschool.org. Current parents interested in joining our Board should email the principal for possible future positions. Subcommittee descriptions and general information on School Boards within our diocese are also available.
