Welcome to St. Bonaventure Catholic School! I am so glad you are here and taking the time to learn more about our wonderful school. There is something truly special about our Saints community, and I hope that as you explore our website, you will get a sense of the faith, joy, and school spirit that make St. Bonaventure such a special place to learn and grow.

Located in Huntington Beach, California, St. Bonaventure Catholic School proudly serves families from Huntington Beach, Westminster, Seal Beach, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and surrounding North Orange County communities. Serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, we are a WCEA and WASC-accredited school committed to educating the whole child academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is to nurture each child's unique gifts while building a strong foundation in faith, character, and academic excellence.

Our school has a rich history rooted in the traditions of our founding religious order, the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Their motto, “Not Words but Deeds,” continues to inspire us today. I believe that a child's education is most meaningful when families and educators work together, and I am grateful for the strong partnership we share with our parents.

At St. Bonaventure, our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do. Through prayer, weekly Mass, religious education, and opportunities to serve others, our students learn to put their faith into action. Our HALOS values of Humility, Accountability, Leadership, Optimism, and Service are woven into daily school life, encouraging students to lead with kindness, compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Academically, we strive to challenge and inspire every student. Our rigorous curriculum includes core academic subjects along with enriching programs in STEM, Spanish, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Our Apple-integrated learning environment encourages creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. Through differentiated instruction and our Student Support Services team, we provide individualized guidance to help students grow and succeed. In junior high, advanced Mathematics and English Language Arts courses offer additional academic challenges and prepare students for the next chapter of their education.

Just as important as what happens in the classroom are the experiences that help our students discover their passions and build lasting friendships. From clubs, competitive sports, and performing arts to educational field trips and junior high electives, there are so many opportunities for students to get involved. We also place great importance on social and emotional well-being, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and meaningful relationships. Our Library & Wellness Center is another reflection of our commitment to creating an environment where students feel supported and inspired to learn.

One of my favorite things about St. Bonaventure is the sense of community you feel when you walk onto our campus. Whether it is students celebrating one another's accomplishments, families gathering for school traditions, or our parish and school coming together in faith, there is a genuine spirit of friendship and belonging that makes SBS feel like family.
